Terms of Service for Hetki
Last updated: 11 September 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and the person who makes Hetki. They are written to be read, not to be survived.
Hetki is developed and operated by M. Bagaskoro Triwicaksana S., Indonesia. Write to hello@hetki.app about anything here.
By using Hetki you agree to what follows. If you do not, the honest answer is not to use it.
What Hetki is
A private photo journal. You keep moments — a photograph, a few words, sometimes a mood — and when you choose to, Hetki uses an AI model to weave a stretch of them into a reflection you can read back.
It is a place to keep things. It is not a medical device, not a therapeutic tool, and not a substitute for help from a person. If you are struggling, please talk to someone qualified.
Who may use it
You must be at least 18 years old.
What you write stays yours
Your photographs, your words, your voice notes and your moods belong to you. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of anything you make.
To run the app at all, Hetki needs narrow permission to store your content, move it between your device and the servers, show it back to you, and — only when you ask — send text or audio to be processed by an AI model. That permission exists for those purposes and no other.
Specifically, and permanently:
- Your content is never used to advertise to you or to anyone else.
- Your content is never sold, licensed, or handed to anyone for their own purposes.
- Your content is never used to train AI models.
- Your content is never published, shown to other users, or made public by us. Anything that leaves Hetki leaves because you shared it yourself.
This permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
Reflections are written by a machine
A reflection is generated by an AI model reading the entries you chose. It can misread you. It can emphasise the wrong thing, or say something that lands badly on a day when you did not expect it.
A reflection is an interpretation, not a record. Your own entries are the record, and they are never altered by one.
The same applies to polishing an entry: it produces a suggestion. Your original wording is kept, and you can always go back to what you actually wrote.
Subscriptions
Hetki is free to use. Hobby is an optional subscription that lifts limits and adds voice notes, more reflections, PDF export, and the Dusk and Night themes.
Price: €0.99 per month, or €9.99 per year. Prices in other countries are shown in your own currency in the Play Store before you buy.
Subscriptions are sold and processed by Google Play, not by us. We never see or hold your card details.
-
A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it.
-
You cancel through the Play Store, under Subscriptions. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.
-
Uninstalling Hetki does not cancel a subscription.
-
Your allowance is full the day you subscribe, and again on the 1st of every month (from midnight UTC). Buying Hobby gives you all five reflections and all sixty minutes of transcription for that month, even if you had already used your free reflection, or some of Hobby’s before it lapsed. What is left at the end of a month does not carry over.
There is no free trial and no introductory offer. This is deliberate. We would rather you decide with the real price in front of you.
Refunds and your right to change your mind
Refunds are handled by Google Play under its own policy, and the fastest route is always to request one there.
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days. Where the law gives you that right, we honour it — write to hello@hetki.app if Google Play has already turned you down and you believe you are entitled to it.
Nothing in these terms takes away a right your national consumer law gives you.
If a subscription ends
When Hobby lapses, you return to the free limits. What does not happen matters more:
- No moment is ever deleted. Not one.
- Moments holding more than five photographs keep every photograph.
- Reflections you have already been given stay readable, and keep their photographs.
- Your monthly reflection comes back straight away. You return to one a month, and you have it immediately: the reflections you wrote on Hobby are not counted against it.
- Voice notes you have already recorded stay playable. Only recording new ones stops.
- Your chosen theme is remembered, so resubscribing brings it back rather than making you pick again.
Your moments stay yours either way. That is a promise, not marketing.
What you agree not to do
Hetki is a private journal, so this list is short. Do not use it to store or process material that is illegal where you are. Do not try to break into other people’s accounts, disrupt the service for others, or work around the limits of the free tier by technical means.
That is the whole list.
Deleting your account
You may delete your account at any time from Profile. Doing so permanently removes your moments, photographs, voice notes and reflections.
We may suspend or end an account that is being used for the things in the section above, or where the law requires it. If that happens you will be told why, and given a reasonable chance to retrieve what you have written unless the law forbids it.
Availability, and the limits of a promise
Hetki is built so that a moment is not lost: deletes go to a 30-day trash, failed uploads retry, drafts survive a crash, and your journal is backed up to servers in Germany.
Even so, no service is available every second, and no backup is a guarantee against every possible failure. Hetki is provided as it is. If your moments matter to you as much as they matter to us, keep your own copy of anything irreplaceable — Export my data in Profile exists for exactly that.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded — and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are untouched by this section.
Changes
Hetki will change; that is what it means for something to be worked on. If these terms change in a way that affects you, the date at the top will change and you will be told inside the app before it takes effect. If you do not accept a change, you may stop using Hetki and delete your account.
Features may be added, altered, or withdrawn. If a paid feature is withdrawn during a period you have paid for, you will be offered a proportionate refund.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or the United Kingdom, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings there.
